At the end of January of 1991, in Rome, at the
Church of the Madonna of the Good Voyage, it was presented the symbolic
departure of the Colombina Reconciliation
Project by Silvio Betti, on board the second little toy boat, renamed Colombina. It was made on the occasion of the baptism of
Rodolfo Maria Dernini, son of Maria Pia Marsala and Sandro Dernini,
celebrated by Mons. Dante Balboni, in the presence of the Ambassador of Senegal
in Italy, S.E. Youssouph Baro. The toy boat was made by Silvio Betti as a
symbolic art messenger...
On December 15 of 1991, in Cagliari, in
Corso Vittorio Emanuele 56,
in the historical crypt of San Francesco al Corso, where
was located the typography shop of the art collector Franco Girina, it was
opened the Plexus International Storage, with the purpose to keep artworks, records and
relics related to the history of Plexus at the disposal of interested scholars
as well as for art shows. It was managed under the creative direction of Gaetano
Brundu, who curated its first exhibition “Opening”, made as an installation
created with the Plexus Black Box’s relics and records recovered from
the preview Plexus Colombina event held in Carloforte in the 1991 summer.
