On December 10 of  2008, at the Parco della Musica, in Rome, on the 60^th anniversay of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, it was held the event Food for All. It was organised by  MIPAAF, INRAN, CIHEAM-Bari, Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Associazione Rinasciemtno, in collaboration with Ciiscam, Forum on Mediterranean Food Cultures, Plexus International, Bioversity International, Comitato Italiano FAO, Fondazione Internazionale Don Luigi di Liegro. It featured Carlo Cannella, Giobbe Covatta, Giancarlo Schiaffini, the JuniOrchestra of Santa Cecilia, the Coro Arcobaleno. It was also presented a short cut of the movie All Human Rights for All made by Associazione Rinascimento.

In 2008, on board of the Elisabeth boat, in the harbour of Trapani, Sicily, on the occasion of the bottarga trial, the Plexus 1995 Open Call for the Well Being in the XXI Century was re-launched by Carlo Cannella and Sandro Dernini with Carlo Dernini.

On October 27-28 of 2008, , in Vibo Valentia-Piscopio, in Calabria, at presso la Casa della Cultura “Ettore Capialbi”, it was held the 2° International CIISCAM Conference on “ The Erosion of the Mediterranean Food Cultural Heritage and Strategies to Safeguard the Mediterranean Diet.”

From May 12 to June 9 of 2008, at the House of the Slaves of Goree, within the DakArtOff of the Biennale of Contemporary African Art of Dakar,  it was held the art exhibition Erosion of  the Door of No Return, with the Patronage of the Ministry of Culture and of the Embassy of Italy in Senegal.  The completed documentation on mapping the advancement of the sea erosion in front to the Door of No Return photographed by Plexus International, from 1989 to 2008, was handed over to the  Mayor of Goree and to the Director-General of the...
