Plexus Metr'Art Erosions and Renaissance is a Travelling Art Show
It has been staged in various symbolic places of the world which, starting in 2004 from the "Door of No Return" of the House of Slaves in the island of Gorée, Dakar, as a symbol of the erosion of the historical memory of humanity. The PLEXUS METR'ART is a monumental historical contemporary art work, long 390.94 meters and made from 2004 to 2019 by original photocopies as reproductions of 935 digital works by 469 artists from all over the world, as their contribution to Plexus Open Calls on specific thematic issues on various forms of erosions increasing in the planet, from the erosion of human rights, freedom and peace to the erosion of biodiversity and of our natural and cultural heritage.
PLEXUS METR'ART has traveled, from 2004 up to now, as an art flag for freedom and peace, physically and virtually, between Dakar - Ballarat (Australia) - Lecce, Rome, New York, Dakar, Passo del Furlo (Marche, Italy), Dakar, Goreè Island, Rio de Janeiro Jerusalem, Rome, Dakar, Cairns (Australia), Cagliari, Rome, Assisi, and now in Sorano (Maremma Toscana).
